On September 5, South’s Varsity Girls Tennis team had their first Conference win over West Chicago, but that was nothing compared to the season they had ahead of them! By the end of an intense Conference season, the Raiders took First Place, winning Conference! However, three Varsity seniors did not stop there! Lorenza Foster-Simbulan, Allie Mizwicki and Emily Puchalski battled through Regional and Sectional matches, eventually reaching Illinois High School Association (IHSA) State.
Allie Mizwicki and Emily Puchalski took on the challenge of doubles this season! Doubles can be a challenging task in tennis due to the fact it does not only require skill, but also communication and partnership. They rallied their way together at State in late October.
