“Spider-Man: No Way Home” Review
February 1, 2022
“Spider-Man: No Way Home” is a fictitious movie following the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man after his identity has been revealed. Peter Parker’s life along with his friends’ lives are now open to the public.
Peter Parker along with his friend and girlfriend, Ned and MJ, want to get into MIT (the college of their dreams), however, the surfacing of Peter’s true identity (Spider-Man) has caused them to get rejected from almost everywhere. In order to solve this issue, Peter goes to Dr. Strange to cast a spell that will make everyone forget him. When Peter finds out that EVERYONE will forget him he starts to change the spell, making it unstable to the point that Dr. Strange cannot cast it at the risk of the multiverses changing. He tries to make everyone who knew him before his identity was revealed still remember him after the spell is cast.
After this, Peter realizes that he can actually talk to the college that he wants to get into to negotiate his and his friends’ situations. He catches the woman in charge of applications just before she gets to the airport, but there he also encounters Dr. Otto Octavius, an unknown villain from another Spider-Man universe. He fights him, and Dr Strange brings Peter and Doc Ock back to the Sanctum Sanctorum. He then explains to Peter that the spell caused the people from other multiverses who knew Peter Parker to come to their universe.
Peter has now been tasked with finding all of these anomalies and bringing them to Dr. Strange’s lair, so that he can send them back.
Going into this movie, I thought it would be very overhyped and a complete flop. I realized very quickly that this was not the case. This Spider-Man movie blew me away and exceeded my expectations, especially with the twists and turns and, of course, Peter’s character development.
I would rate this movie 5 out of 5 stars because of how well-written it was and the overall quality.
I recommend this movie to any and all Marvel or DC fans along with anyone who enjoys action movies. This was a real showstopper and amazing third part to the current Spider-Man series.
