Glenbard South High School kicked off its spirit week by wearing pajamas to school Monday, December 12. There were a variety of pajamas ranging from footie pajamas, flannel pajama pants and even bath robes paired with cute slippers.

“I think it’s really cozy, and I think it provides a lot of motivation for students. Yesterday in class I saw a lot of students were happy and excited,” senior Iman Khan stated ,”And when students are excited, it motivates them to focus. There was also a lot of affection seen. More students were hugging each other and what not.”

Moreover, students were not alone wearing the pajamas. Teachers and staff participated as well. “I think they enjoy [teachers wearing pajamas… They like to see teacher participation,” stated Mrs. Kollias, who works in the Glenbard South LRC, “We’re interacting with them.”

Student Union arranged the pajama day. The rest of the week will follow with Tuesday’s Holiday Hat and Sock day, Wednesday’s Ugly Sweater day, Thursday’s color day and finally Friday’s Flannel day.
