Over the course of 2014, TV shows have come and gone. Now that the year is almost over, there were a few in particular – ten to be exact – that have made it on the list of favorites. They range from comedy to horror and everything in between. If one is looking for a new show to binge on, these ten shows are some great options.

The first show is titled “American Horror Story: Freakshow,” which is a television series whose first season aired on October 5, 2011. There is a completely new plot each season that never ceases to have its viewers on their toes.

Previously, in the seasons that the show has been offered, there have been ghosts in a haunted house, mental patients in an insane asylum and a coven with teenage witches.

However, the current season first premiered on October 8, 2014, and takes place at a freakshow in Juniper, Florida. “American Horror Story: Freakshow” explains how these “freaks” survive in America. The show will continue to be aired on Wednesdays at 10/9c on FX.

The next show is “Orange is the New Black.” The first season was released on July 11, 2013, and the creators have released two seasons so far. The show portrays what life is like for women in federal prison. To start, the main character, Piper Chapman, has to adjust to criminal life while making friends and trying to keep in contacts with her family outside of prison. Due to the fact that “Orange is the New Black” is a netflix original series, it is not aired on live television.

The third show is “How to Get Away with Murder.” With the first episode that aired on September 25, 2014, a group of criminal defense law students and their college professor get caught up in a devious murder plan that will potentially change their lives for the worst. Another top show is “The Red Band Society,” which show is about a group of ill teenagers in Los Angeles’ Ocean Park Hospital. These completely different teens all share a common bond of their need for treatment and search for comfort in one another.

The show is aired on Wednesdays at 9/8c on FOX.

The fifth show on the list is “The Strain.” The show was first released on July 13, 2014, and the first season ended on October 5, 2014. The second season will be aired during the Summer of 2015 on FX.

The sixth show on the list is a comedy show titled “Black-ish.” The main character in the show, Dre Johnson, is a father of four and is extremely successful with his job.
