Fired up at Weber Grill

Jessica Arnold, Editor-In-Chief

Finding a good restaurant  that serves barbecue  is not an easy to do.Yet, at Weber Grill, there is no shortage. The service is timely, the atmosphere is exquisite and the food is delicious.

As expected for a restaurant with food this good, there is typically quite a wait when you arrive. My party called ahead with a reservation set for 3:30 p.m.. When I arrived, I was quickly seated and served cold water.

Another feature about this was that there was a pitcher of water for each table. There was no need to wait for a waiter; there was an opportunity to simply  refill the glass.

On top of this water, I decided to indulge in some lemonade. The service was quick. The drink was gone in almost that time. In the glass, there was the perfect amount of ice with the drink. There was also the right amount of sweet and sour which made the lemonade was quite refreshing.

After some time, we were served pretzel rolls with cheddar and whipped butter. The rolls were distinctly warm, and when the butter was spread upon them, it melted within the pretzel roll. Biting into this roll was the treat though. The cheddar cheese mixed with the saltiness of the roll perfectly, creating a warm feeling in your mouth. It was not long before I reached for another roll.

For my entree, I decided to endeavour in something on the BBQ section of the menu. One of the options here was the BBQ Combo, which is priced at $18.50. It comes with two entrees and two sides, with a little side of cornbread. Even though the restaurant itself is quite expensive, but I believe that the price you pay is completely worth the extra money for the quality of food you receive.

My BBQ combo consisted of brisket pulled pork, bourbon baked beans, and their homemade mac n cheese. It was delightful.

My favorite item on the plate was definitely the brisket. There were about four little slices of it, and it was tender and like butter to slice. The brisket melted in my mouth as I bit into it. There was no need for added salt or sauce as the tenderness and flavor of the meat was just right.

Almost entirely comparable to the brisket was the pulled pork. It was seasoned perfectly. There was a hint of sweet, yet the regular flavor of a heated barbecue sauce was definitely there. The meat fell off my fork as I placed it into my mouth, showing how tender and ready it was to be eaten.

The mac n cheese and baked beans were perfect sides to these entrees. The creaminess of the mac n cheese was delightful along with the texture of the noodle. The noodle was cooked right, and the buttery goodness of the cheese melted with it greatly. This was a great contrast to the baked beans, which were sweet with a rough texture. Moreover, there were mixtures of meat within the beans, which only made the flavor even better.

Overall, this meal is one I will not forget. From the service to the delicious food, Weber Grill earns a 9/10 on my scale. I would recommend this to anyone who loves a good barbecue.
