As normalcy returns to Glenbard South, one event many students are happy about is returning to in-person concerts. On October 14th at 7:30 pm in the auditorium, Glenbard South’s choir will hold their first concert of the 2021-2022 school year. Each of the choirs has a varied selection of songs ready to be performed under the leadership of Mrs. Hutchinson, the choir director. One of South’s student-led acapella groups, Treble Threat, will also be performing.
When asked what the best part of choir has been so far this year, senior Gabi Allaway responded with, “Hearing our progress. I believe the music we’re singing are the best pieces we’ve done ever”.
“Being back in person, having Mrs. Hutchinson conduct us again, and being able to be back in the environment,” was junior Dylan Heid’s thoughts on his favorite part of choir this year.
Students wondering whether they should attend should know that admission to the concert is free, though donations are welcome. Attending is a great way to support South’s music program and the students involved.
