As the last episode of season two of “The Mandalorian” came out on December 18 of 2020, fans were left at peace with a fulfilling ending, but as the post credits scene rolled out, it became clear they were in for another treat. 

Viewers were able to catch a glimpse of what happened to Boba Fett after saving Grogu with the Mandalorian. The last scene showed Boba Fett, played by Temerura Morrison, and his accomplice Fennec Shand, played by Ming-Na Wen, taking over Jabba’s former palace on Tatooine. Boba Fett’s initial appearance on the series had caused a lot of excitement as his return and survival from the original movies was one many did not expect. 

Season two’s action packed events ended with the release date of the next Star Wars spinoff, “The Book of Boba Fett”, anticipated to come out in December 2021. This series, although within the timeline of “The Mandalorian,” will not be an addition to its season three, rather it will be a series of its own following the adventures of Boba Fett and his partner.

For those wondering if Pedro Pascal’s Din Djarin will be back for season three, it is confirmed that he will be.
