French Club

Maggie Falkenburg, Nation Writer

One of the most spoken languages in the world, the French is spoken in fifty-three countries and territories. French is also one of the two foriegn language options offered at Glenbard South.

South also offers a place for speakers of French at all different levels to confer and participate. Through the year, participants design t-shirts, learn about French holidays and celebrate National French week. For the meeting on November 5th, a French themed pumpkin carving contest will be held to celebrate Halloween. The contest will be held in room 106 with social distancing and other safety measures in place. Whoever carves the best pumpkin will win a prize.

The club meets every Thursday at 2:30 and is a great way to explore the French language and culture.
