Valentines for Vets

Michaela Reif, Writer

On February 1, students gathered in the commons to make valentines for veterans. The veterans included Phil Felsenthal, stationed on the USS Ronald Reagan and Jacob Lisitza, stationed in Germany. This year many students went to the event to make valentines and ate valentine-themed snacks. Mr Nielsen said “We hope to fill the Commons with students and send a message that Glenbard South supports our Vets!” The event was a large success with over 100 students in attendance. The valentines had messages of love, thanks and hope.
