Annabelle: Creation, directed by David Sandburg, is the best selling movie in between its first movie, Annabelle. The newest installment, Annabelle: Creation is a movie based on the possessed doll and tells the story of a little girl who has been killed in a car accident. Annabelle: Creation, the pre-prequel of The Conjuring, shows the life of a married couple who takes orphans after their death of their daughter. Slowly things start to change as the doll terrorizes the couple and the little girls.

I have not seen The Conjuring or Annabelle, and I am deathly afraid of scary movies. I personally thought this movie did not give enough of its original story in the movie. The doll was possessed by a little girl but none of this was seen in the movie, which would have added to the original story. I was pretty scared throughout the movie because it aroused my hatred of dolls, especially creepy dolls like Annabelle.

The movie’s visual quality was pretty good, with dark, creepy scenes and
including some pretty good jump scares as well. Based on what other people said on this movie and on other reviews I had read before watching this movie, Annabelle: Creation did not impress me ,and it also did not live up to its standards.

Annabelle: Creation as a whole was decent, but not what I expected as a scary movie. In the beginning, I was not really thrilled, but in the second half it had me terrified. The origin story was not really that accurate, but it still stayed true to part of the original movie. However, the movie quality and picturing was pretty good as well, and it was clear on visual effects, making up for some of the movie’s downfalls. I rate this a 6 out of 10, but I would still recommend it if you want to see a movie of how Annabelle came to be.
