Review: “Dancing with the Stars”

imagesCompetition has been tough in the 22nd season of “Dancing with the Stars.” Wanya and Lindsay, Ginger and Val and Nyle and Peta are all in a three way tie for first, and there is no question that the judges and America’s voters will have a hard time picking the winner in the season finale.

One of the most amazing stars on the show this year has been Nyle DiMarco, who was born into a large multigenerational deaf family and is the first deaf contestant on the show. “I’m looking forward to changing the world’s perspective on deaf people—that we actually can dance too,” he said. “You don’t have to be able to hear the music.”

Another standout star has been Ginger Zee, appearing from the “Good Morning America” talk show. Zee has shown her potential to become the winner of “Dancing with the Stars” Season 22. Zee has always had a sense of adventure, so it is no surprise that she continues to stun the judges and the audience week by week. “Ginger, that was incredible. Halfway through the dance, I burst into tears,” judge Carrie Ann Inaba said.

The third couple that has been tied for first in the race is Wanya and Lindsay. Wanya Morris and his R&B group Boyz II Men became the best-selling R&B group of all time with an astounding 64 million albums sold when he was just in high school. Morris has always been willing to criticize himself which really helps the outcome of the next dance. “With waltz, it’s more, you know, I have to watch my hands … A lot of things are different,” he said.

Monday, May 9th,  the judges Carrie Ann, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli were joined by a 4th judge, YOU. America was pretty harsh on the group dances giving all three groups a 9 during the revelation of the scores.

Be sure to tune in next week Monday, May 16th for some great dancing and difficult judging.
