Glenbard South senior, Luke Angelillo, managed to be one of three people in the world to earn a perfect score on the Advanced Placement United States History Test. According to the College Board, it was the most taken AP test across the whole world this past Spring.

When asked about his amazing accomplishment, Angelillo responded very excitedly, “To be honest, it’s the coolest thing that’s ever happened to me. I knew I loved history but thought there was no way that a perfect score was possible.”

Glenbard South History chair and teacher Rita Guritz also showed her praise for her student. “Luke’s achievement is a testament to what hard work and dedication to learning will produce. He was always trying to improve himself and working for a better understanding, rather than just focusing on points.”

This achievement will never be forgotten in the Glenbard South community. However, Angelillo will move into new activities such as basketball and multiple service oriented clubs. “It’s something I’ll always cherish and take pride in,” said Angelillo.
