On February 6, 2019, Glenbard South celebrated Valentine’s Day early with the annual Valentines for Vets. Dozens of students gathered to create homemade valentines for veterans. Students took their time and made thoughtful cards, while also enjoying snacks and refreshments. Junior Prius Parmar said “Valentines for Vets was a moment of gratitude for those who served our country. Making cards for them is a way to express our appreciation. Fellow Junior LaDaveya Williams agreed the event was a great success. “It was nice to see everyone, and even an actual vet was there! Plus it was made awesome with food!”, stated Williams. Overall, the event was huge success and a tradition in years to come.
