September 15, 2016
The Glenbard South NHS Car wash took place on September 10, from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the bus zone by the Glenbard South High School tower. Each wash was be $5.
The car wash has given back to the community and has helped members represent principles and tenet foundations they have built themselves upon. “[The] National Honor Society is based on four tenets: scholarship, leadership, character, and service,” said society sponsor, Ruth Homan.
Each year the NHS has chosen a charity to donate the car wash profits to, and this year it chose Feed My Starving Children. NHS kicked off the car wash with the goal of beating its two year record of $500.
