Near the end of August, Starbucks brought back its long-awaited fall menu for the harvest season. Customers buzzed with delight as they ran to stores to indulge in a variety of warm and cozy fall flavors. The beloved Pumpkin Spice Latte returned, along with the Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai Tea Latte, the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew and the Pecan Crunch Oatmilk Latte. The Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffin and the Raccoon Cake Pop also made a comeback. As for the new drinks, the Pecan Oatmilk Cortado joined the menu accompanied by the Italian Sausage Egg Bites.
While many coffee fans were undoubtedly thrilled to savor a delightful Pumpkin Spice Latte or a pecan-flavored drink, others expressed visible disappointment that the highly praised apple crisp drinks did not make a reappearance. Apple crisp lovers enjoyed the comforting taste and appreciated the unique contrast of flavors compared to pumpkin spice or pecan. When the 2025 fall menu was released, upset customers flooded the comment sections of Starbucks’ social media, demanding that apple crisp drinks return. In fact, most comments on posts about the Pumpkin Spice Latte did not mention excitement for the uber-popular drink or welcome the Pecan Oatmilk Cortado with open arms. Instead, they expressed frustration over the absence of apple crisp beverages, noting how the absence of apple flavors didn’t make sense for autumn as apples are traditionally a staple of the harvest season, in activities like apple bobbing and apple picking.
Luckily, things turned around for the apple crisp lovers when Starbucks made a surprise announcement on its social media that the drinks will return on Oct. 15. The apple crisp beverages set to return include the Iced Apple Crisp Oatmilk Shaken Espresso and the Apple Crisp Cream Cold Foam. They will be joined by a new Apple Crisp Protein Cold Foam that will be available alongside the other new protein cold foam drinks. The entire fall menu will be available until early November, so those interested in the promising lineup should pay a visit to their local Starbucks to enjoy a drink or treat before the holiday menu arrives!
