As soon as the temperature drops and the leaves start to change, Starbucks orders all look alike– fall drinks. Pumpkin spice has been the star of the show for years, but now there are new options like pumpkin cream and the beloved apple crisp which was discontinued, but missed so much that Starbucks agreed to bring it back by October. The menu even includes iced versions of the most popular beverages to make them feel less “sweater weather” and more “light jacket.”
Some students say fall drinks are worth the hype and take a trip to Starbucks before school every morning. They claim the drinks are their favorite part of autumn. Alternatively, others disagree and say pumpkin flavor is not worth it.
It is no secret that Starbucks prices have gotten outrageous in recent years. A grande pumpkin spice latte is more than 6 dollars, and many students, not having jobs, argue that it is too much money for a seasonal drink. Though, plenty of teens use gift cards or save money to keep up with the fall traditions they love.
Whether you’re a coffee lover or not, fall drinks have become a staple part of the season. Whether you love the pumpkin craze or hate it, it’s hard to deny that Starbucks has made fall flavors a goto when it comes to crisp air and colorful leaves.
