The 2020 Olympics, which would have been held in Tokyo, had been postponed until 2021 due to the coronavirus.
Many people were excited and ready for the 2020 Olympics, from the athletes to the fans, all around the globe. The Olympics has always brought the whole world together and the postponement was a huge blow for the world that could have used these events as a much needed morale boost, it was very saddening for many people. It was especially disheartening for all of the athletes though, who have trained their entire lives for that moment at the games.
