Security is a huge necessity

Nowadays, recent tragedies have emotionally left the nation in shambles. Shootings and terror attacks in Las Vegas, New York City, as well as areas left off the radar, have been affected by the aftermath of complete chaos. Victims have no longer been able to control how their lives will turn out psychologically and physically. Moreover, the urge to end senseless behavior is now laid in the hands of the people of this country, and around the world.

Furthermore, proper security has been the answer to regulate the influx of dangerous acts in schools, large public areas and much more. On the other hand, the reduction and complete prevention of future dangers has always been in question. Although both factors would be positives, the public has continually needed more security in order to feel safe in their surroundings. Kate Taylor, a writer for Business Insider claimed, “Hyper-visible measures such as X-ray machines and other screenings when guests check in are helpful for creating a preventative atmosphere.” Taking these kinds of elements into consideration would not only cease these very dangers but provide a safety blanket.

In Las Vegas, if proper procedures were a given, Steven Paddock would not have the chance to cause a complete disaster. According to Deanna Ting, a traveler journalist for Skift, “Working closely with law enforcement is a must to keep guests and employees safe.” Therefore, if time would had been taken, mass shootings would be far from inevitable.

Interestingly enough, “School boards and administration coordinate with law enforcement officials for emergency response procedures,” stated US News reporter, Allie Bidwell. Along with public spaces, schools and universities have also been targets for mindless behavior. The tragedy that took place at Sandy Hook could have been prevented by “Maximizing fiberglass windows and keeping doors locked during school hours,” said Bidwell. Without a doubt, these safety procedures would have stopped the shooter from entering the school and cause an atrocious havoc. Indeed, there would be a large benefit with stronger security regardless of the waits at airports, hotels and other locations as well.

Ultimately, it is the duty of this generation to speak about precautions which need to be taken to ensure the safety of all citizens. More specifically, security is absolutely necessary.
