The Glenbard South and West girl’s varsity swim team did an exceptional job this year by placing third as a team in State. Their coach, Chris Flamion said,”[The goal is to get] as many kids to state as possible and to perform well”.
Coach Flamion took seven swimmers to State this season. However, while no Glenbard South athletes placed in State, Glenbard West’s Ahayla Lettenberger broke a state record in the 100m breaststroke event. Four other swimmers who placed in State were Jane Deneberg, Molly Rosenthal, Claire Ficarella, and Megan Murphy.
