With prom 2016 right around the corner, many couples, friends and groups will be thinking about their plans for prom. Taking photos before prom is a staple necessity for a great night, but the location is always something to be disputed over. Luckily, there are many nearby places to take photos with scenic backgrounds.

Lilacia Park is a central location in downtown Lombard  for taking photos. The park is full of lilac bushes, scenic trees and flowers. There also are benches to sit on and places to find shade for good lighting. This is a popular location, so expect a lot of groups to be there. But fear not because there is ample room.

Another great place is the Morton Arboretum in Lisle. To enter the preserve, prom goers will either need to be  Arboretum members or have to pay for admission, but this factor will not stop the groups. The Arboretum is made up of 1,700 acres and is filled with gardens that have various wildlife, trees and flowers. This diverse makeup of wildlife makes the Arboretum an extremely picturesque and provides plenty of space for a variety of back drops.

There is also Hurley Gardens in Wheaton, which is definitely the most popular place to snap prom memories. Hurley provides a scene with tons of greenery, man-made water fountains and white stone structures. This beautiful spot attracts Glenbard South prom attendees year after year, and it is sure to be packed. The overall beauty of the gardens and its plant life is a big draw for many. It is expected that Hurley will once again be extremely busy during this prom season.

If none of those locations appeal to you, there is always the option of  taking pictures at home. Putting up a back drop or going to your favorite place in your yard would make a  unique photo experience. This option is recommended for smaller groups or just couples. Taking photos at someone’s house would be a big time saver, which is important with a tight prom schedule.

Prom can be extremely stressful, so do not  make pictures any more stressful than they need to be. Just relax, and remember these options when deciding a location.
