While the Presidential election is under way, Hillary Clinton has taken the lead in the polls for the Democratic party. This has raised one of many questions. Is she winning because she is a woman?

Lately, Clinton has been all over the political world from one of the top five lawyers in the country, First Lady and women’s rights activist, senator for New York, Secretary of State and now Democratic front-runner. Despite all of her achievements, Donald Trump still does not believe she is qualified.

“Frankly all I’m doing is bringing out the obvious. Without the woman’s card, Hillary would not even be a viable person who could even run for a city council position,” Trump stated on NBC’s “Today” show.

Clinton fired back with a statement on her campaign website titled “This is what an official Hillary for America woman card gets you” and goes on to talk about lower wages, expensive healthcare and no reproductive rights as a result of Trump being elected president.

Furthermore, Clinton is winning because women agree with her support of equal rights. Women do not believe they deserve comments of belittlement because of their gender.

Above all, they see a candidate who is willing to fight for the issues that seem to go unspoken, supporters are confident that their voice is finally being heard.
