The iPhone 6 and 6 plus were released on September 9, 2014. The most anticipated iPhone to date. This phone was not as groundbreaking as everyone expected. It started behind the competition. It was behind the  HTC ONE and the Galaxy S5. The iPhone 6\6 Plus looked sleek and fit nicely in one’s hand. The power button was moved from the top of the phone to the right side of the phone. One of the down sides of this phone was the screen. It was rumored the screen was to be sapphire glass a very good and drop resistant glass. Instead Apple went with Ion-Strengthened glass not as good, but Apple said it was a close second to sapphire glass.

This phone is a very good example of Apple charging more for less said a member of “The Wirecutter,” a technology reviewing website. After all a 16 gigabyte iPhone 6 without a contract costs on average $500.00. In Addition iPhone 6 plus with a contract costs on average $700.00. In reality that is a lot to pay for one speaker. A sensitive screen, a slower processor, not having Gorilla glass or something of the sort, less resolution. As well as a camera that is okay but not as good when compared to the competitions and less battery life.

Nevertheless the iPhone has a nice OS (Operating system) that is much simpler to use then the Android OS. For example, going through the settings on a iPhone is much simpler than trying to access an option on a Android device. The App Store makes up for a lot offering very high quality apps that bring hours of entertainment to millions. The device flows nicely when transitioning from one application to another instead of slowing down one’s device when running multiple apps unlike the “Galaxy s5”.

Also, a commonly looked over feature that was launched with the iPhone 6\6 plus was Apple pay a very convenient way of paying at any participating retailers with one’s iPhone. First, one must open the settings of the device add bank account information to the Apple pay. Verify information with one’s bank. After completion one is ready to purchase goods or services without having to ever give any personal information. Now, one’s iPhone is protected from scamers or hackers trying to acquire one’s personal information as all purchases must be approved by the bank account holder using a password or fingerprint. To complete a purchase, one holds the iPhone to the cash register, and it will read the iPhone and automatically withdraw funds from one’s bank account.

In addition, do not use aftermarket chargers (charger other than a charger made by Apple) for one’s device. A lot of times one is wasting money because the chargers do not work correctly with Apple devices. Also, the output of the aftermarket charger could be less or more than the recommended amount deteriorating the lifespan of the battery of one’s device and making one’s phone overheat and giving one a warning making one’s devices useless while it cools down. Therefore, only use Apple or Apple approved accessories such as Mophie cases which charge one’s device with an external battery.

Even with faults, this iPhone is a leap in the right direction.
