Tumblr takeover

Back in 2007,David Karp opened Tumblr to the public. His purpose in creating Tumblr was to help users to create visual representations of themselves. The app featured a dashboard and a messaging service. The dashboard allowed users to follow other blogs, along with the option to “like” or “reblog” certain pieces.
Users will post just about anything such as links to other sites, music, videos and pictures. Tumblr will encourage users to create a blog or a dashboard expressing themselves with things they like. Also, users will be able to repost certain brands, colors and abstract photos.
Although other social medias allow a “like” feature, Tumblr has offered a unique option called “Queue.” This system has allowed users to schedule their posts. For example, users scheduled a post to be released even when they were off their phones at different times.
In addition, Tumblr will launch a new feature allowing it to be linked with other accounts. This would mean users can share and use their blog on other social media sites. For example, an article on tumblr will be shareable to Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
Also, Tumblr added a messaging service which allowed users to directly converse with others. Fortunately, the messaging addition shared the service to both Android and IPhone users.
Previously, Tumblr dominated social media and proved one of the highest earning sites. Before, users liked the gifs tumblr offered, which included moving pictures that showed animation. After huge losses, research from a Huffington Post article showed the site’s economic worth declined significantly. Unfortunately, Tumblr included ads, as well as very mature and graphic content which amounted for some of the popularity decline; their numbers of users declined significantly in 2016.
