Going into this game, the Glenbard South Raiders were major underdogs against their Glenbard rival Glenbard East. However, without senior running back Sean Cooke, the Raiders still managed to score three rushing touchdowns. All of these were by quarterback Jack Crouch. Crouch stated, “It felt great to beat East after we lost last year.”

Other notable performances included junior Nick D’Ambra with a huge sack on defense in the red-zone. D’Ambra stated, “Last year it was heartbreaking [to lose]. We had something to prove. We took the underdog mentality and turned it into [something] positive.”

Senior wide-receiver Peter Jeske completed two catches, one being a touchdown. Going into week three against Aurora Central Catholic, the Raiders will be content at 1-1.
